Once you get the best snorkel gear and have had some lessons (if you are a newbie) get yourself into the water and discover a whole new world you had only seen on TV!

Snorkeling is fun

Unless you are afraid of ocean waters, snorkeling at the continental platform can prove a mesmerizing experience.  If you choose the right spots on the planet to go for a ride, you will be able to see the beauty of coral reefs.  You might get to swim with sea turtles and some exotic jellyfish.  All the adventure involved in snorkeling is one that will set you for the best times.  This activity is better enjoyed when you go in the company of others, not to mention safety.  Besides all this, snorkeling provides for a pretty great getaway with friends.  It is relaxing and it is also healthy.  But we will talk about this later.

Snorkeling is educational

Some of the videos you have seen on educational channels were taken while snorkeling. Now you can get the chance to explore all these wonders by yourself.  Coral reefs are ecosystems that seem with aquatic life.  Just imagine all the beautiful species of fish and other sea creatures you will get to see.  It definitively sounds like an adventure you would like to share about at class.

Snorkeling is a great workout

Swimming itself is a great workout.  Going snorkeling is, well, all about swimming.  Some experts would recommend you not to use snorkeling fins to prevent you from getting overtired.  Others will tell you to use them to provide a complete workout for the legs.  This can be pretty much your choice.  The truth is that snorkeling helps burn calories at a pretty fast rate.  In order for you to stay afloat, you must be constantly moving your body.  Buoyancy allows you to work out all major muscles without the inconvenience of gravity causing strain to your muscles and joints.

To finish, if you have discovered that you are not necessarily the adventurous type or you are simply afraid of going into the ocean you can still play it safe in a swimming pool.  In fact, this is where you practice and train yourself before getting into the big blue.  But if you prefer to play it safe and snorkel in a swimming pool, it is actually exciting as well.  You still get a great amount of workout while doing it as buoyancy still works in fresh water.

Just get wet and get to snorkel and enjoy a truly exciting and fun exercise.  Here’s to a great snorkeling experience!
